Really nice work from Grant Ernhart. In an interview Ernhart describes the landscape as:
more than a collection of physical characteristics, it becomes a backdrop for feelings of familiarity, projected memory and emotional resonance.
Read more about Ernhart here.

Here is a wonderful interview with Shephen Shore. (thanks Joerg)

Another image from the Zoo Project. Check out Garry Winogrand’s work from the Bronz Zoo in his first book “The Animals.”

I became familiar with Michael Sinclair when he received a grant from the Charlotte Street Fund in 1999. When not shooting architecture, Mike spends his time shooting landscapes and the realms of leisure in America. Michael Sinclair is represented by the Dolphin Gallery in Kansas City. He is also included in the Midwest Photographers Project at the Museum of Contemporary Photography.
Group-Show has posted their January exhibition. There are several exciting artist including Todd Hido, William Lamson, and Stephen Dirado. Check out the archives if you haven’t already. The Group-Show curators are doing some exciting stuff for the photo community.

Juliana Beasley has received much deserved attention recently. Last fall she was a “Hot Shot” at Jen Bekman and in October Joerg Colberg interviewed Juliana on his blog Conscientious. You can also find an interview posted by Jen Bekman here. This Friday, January 12, Juliana has a show at the 3rd Ward Gallery between 6-9pm. If you can make it to the show bring your copy of “Lapdancer” for Juliana to sign.

I ran across Matthew Schenning’s work a few months ago. His work contains a nice collection of portraits, landscapes and still-lifes. Matthew’s work centers around his family and friends in the Baltimore area.
